Brian from LowEnd basses is building me a 6. This has to pay for that.

This is a beautiful Walnut bodied MTD 634-24. Specs:

Walnut Body
Wenge Neck/Fretboard (limited supply)
34" scale
24 frets
18mm spacing
Luminlay Side/Face Dots
Aguilar OBP-3 18v Preamp with Passive Tone
Aguilar DCB pickups
Hipshot USA Hardware
Buzz Feiten Tuning System
MTD USA Hardcase with all original paperwork/luminlay quickcharge keychain

I am the second owner, it was completed in June 2014 and is on the website. It originally had bartolini pickups, but they didn't sound great with the Aguilar preamp. The Aguilar pickups, OTOH, do.

So, if you're looking for a beautifully balanced six with a comfortable 34" scale in a mix of modern features and subtle beauty, here's your chance. $3850 shipped East of Mississippi river. $3920 west. Ships in OHSC. (It's on a towel, not the hardwood!)

Yeah, it's pretty hard to see listed. Already listed and pulled it once, but gotta sell it now! Not going to lie, I bought it because I'm obsessed with these guys, and it was the most similar thing I could find in a six!

Anyone else?

This is the original pre, it's what the buyer ordered it with. I'd be willing to talk about adding the orig pups, but they're not the normal mtd Bart splits; since the first owner ordered it with the aguilar pre, mike put Bart humbuckers in it.

Heck yes! They are what popular music has been so desperately needing! A group who can migrate away from I-IV-vi-V yet still be catchy and accessible. My non-musician friends still think they are too cerebral to be enjoyable, but that's what decades of pop conditioning has done, I suppose. Look at Thriller, that album had interesting changes but was one of the (if not still the) highest grossing of all time.

But I digress. Bass for sale, get your bass here! Bass here!

Haven't weighed it. It ain't a feather weight, but I don't think it's north of 11. I'll try to get a weight up tonight. I upgraded it to a brass bridge which added a bit of mass, but I still have the original aluminum one that'll come with it and might subtract a few ounces. I can include the barts that came with it as well.

If it doesn't sell this weekend I might hang on to it and see about selling some other gear instead. Mike said he could make me a couple of ramps, been dying to try a slap ramp, and I think that'd be killer on here.

On and off the bathroom scale 3 times: 10.5, 10.7, 10. Held it the same way each time and didn't change anything. Averages out to 10.4. Either way, mid 10. Not too bad for a 6 of this construction.
