Specs:
Sadowsky Metro MV5
Ash body
Maple neck & fingerboard
black pearl pickguard
trans black finish (very hard to photograph, but looks nice in person - strong wood grain is visible through the color coat)
Sadowsky hum canceling pickups
Sadowsky preamp with VTC
34" scale
19mm spacing at bridge
8.33 pounds
Condition:
Great bass for a player, not so much for a collector.
Very little fret wear.
No buckle rash.
There are some chips in the finish on the upper and lower horns, shown in the photos.
There is a scuff on the bridge, also shown in the photos.
I used a different on board preamp, but have replaced the original Sadowsky pre for this sale. Not the neatest soldering job (see photo), but it does work correctly with no hum / buzz / grounding problems.
I used strap locks which slightly enlarged the strap button holes; in order to reinstall the original strap buttons I glued small dowels into the holes. The buttons are secure and should stay put with no problems.
Included:
The bass, currently strung with Sadowsky Blue Label nickels. light gauge.
Original Sadowsky porta-bag with matching serial umber.
Warranty info, price tag, operating manual, little bag o' wrenches.
Price, shipping, etc:
$1800 + actual shipping from Takoma Park, MD 20912. Paypal accepted. Shipping to US and Canada only, no freight forwarders.
