Details

For sale is my Epiphone Allen Woody RubmleKat, Hipshot Supertone bridge and case. $325.00 plus shipping.

Love the bass, love the sound, love the way it plays, love everything about it, except the arthritis in my spine and shoulder doesn't love the 8 lbs for those 4 hour gigs, that being said, if it sells, then it sells, if it doesn't, I'm OK with that too. Currently strung with DR Hi-beams, but every string I've put on it sounds great.

Stock Epiphone Photo, pics of the actual bass when I'm back on my machine.

Hi, I was looking to pick one of these up today. I am new to the bass world, and don't know if this is a good bass to learn on. Please let me know what you think. I would rather buy used in case my practicing plateaus.

I think this is a great bass, and would be good to learn on, especially if you might be coming from the guitar side of things as the scale would be more familiar to you. These are high quality basses and have great sound. They are very versatile and sound great played finger style or with a pick. I'm not a big slap player but learning and playing slap on this one would be more challenging, due to the placement of the neck pickup being much closer to the fretboard. It has been professionally setup, which really helps the playability and would make it less frustrating to practice and learn with. I want to make sure that you know this is a short scale (30") instrument, where the accepted standard is a long scale (34"). Again if you are coming from the guitar side this scale would transition easily for you. There is plenty of debate and discussion to be found as to the differences between the scales, but suffice it to say this is a fine example of a bass regardless of the scale.

Thanks for your reply. I would like to make you an offer. How do these transactions take place? I have never bought anything off of a an online forum before.
