For sale REDUCED!! 1966 Fender Bass V (RARE!!)

Hello Folks,
I'm selling my very rare Fender Bass V. It's a 1966 model.

You can see the condition of the bass from the photos below, but let's just say this:

1. The finish has some pretty serious checking. How much money would you pay for a relic'ing job that looked this cool?
2. The bridge cover is missing. It's made of some material called unobtanium and I was not able to find one with months of searching.
3. The pickup cover is there although I prefer to play without it.
4. The neck plate is not original
5. The nitrocellulose pickguard has shrunk over the years.
6. The case is not original

I purchased the bass last year from a seller that seriously misrepresented the bass. He told me it only needed a setup, but that was a gross understatement. To make the bass playable, I had my most trusted luthier (Top Gear, La Mesa CA) to do the following repairs:

1. Add additional spacer nuts to truss rod to get it to work. It's at the end of the range, but the action is decent.
2. Refret the neck and plane the fretboard at the high end to get a better fret leveling and reduce buzzing on high frets
3. Build up the nut to compensate for the new height of the frets
4. Shim the neck pocket for optimum alignment of the neck to the body
5. Rewind the smaller of the two pickups
6. Clean the controls pots, and tack on a second capacitor to give the tone control a broader range. The original cap is there and you can remove the 2nd cap if desired
7. Partially straighten the C-string tuner.
8. Install a new set of LaBella Deep Talkin' flat wound Bass strings, strung Low E to High C.

I believe in truth in advertising, so I have listed all issues I know of with the bass. My selling price represents both the rarity of the bass and its condition. It is in gig-worthy condition, which was my goal.
