These early 80's MIJ basses are among the best instruments every produced by Fender, whether they bear the Squier name or the Fender name. At that point, they were the same instruments. You're essentially buying a MIJ '62 reissue for a fraction of the cost!

Here is the original for sale thread with great pics. The bass is unchanged. This plays beautifully, fat sound with these flats and great old woods.

I owned this bass before the last two owners I believe. It came to me with a natural relic, the compartments had been shielded and the noiseless pups installed already. I like having a tone control for each pup so I bought and installed a Lakland stacked set up. The bass has super low action and an unbelievable feel and tone. Definate mojo here. I am sorry I got rid of the bass. Super light too.

This bass is worth $500 every day of the week. Look at what the previous owners have said, believe it.
