Nice Lakland 5501 I acquired in a trade here on TB. Excellent playing/sounding bass, very versatile tone. Nordstrand Big Singles, Bass Mods pre. (original electronics included as well) Will ship in a beat up hard case.

As far as trade bait, mainly 4 string P/Js, Js, possibly Ps.

I'm not sure on the year, I'm not familiar with Lakland serial number format, but I suppose I could check. I'll give it the 'ol bathroom scale test tonight. I will say, it doesn't feel too heavy to me.
Also, bump for lowered FS price.

Lakland serial No's begin with the year: 02 means made in 2002.............10 would mean 2010, etc.
Next 2 digits indicate month. Serial No is on the edge of the headstock. The first 4 digits give all the necessary info. Thanks and again...........this is a GREAT price on this one.

Oh baby.. I love it. Contrary to most, I would prefer a 4 string.. but this is sweet. The price is really great, too!
