The easiest way to explain the pushbuttons is to go to the EBMM Reflex5 page on the web. There is a PDF download for the controls. It shows you graphically and schematically. This things SINGS. Endless tonal possibilities!

Yeah. I found all that: super complicated and confusing, for me anyway.
I'd have to have it in my hands to make sense of that.

Thanks nervous. Yes, it's the same configuration.

What I did was just went down the list with everything flat and tried each combination to see what changed with the tone. I found I like the two single coils active without the humbucker, but it's just a personal preference. There are so many possibilities, it's crazy.

Chef it looks busy but it's really intuitive, the first three buttons ( from the neck down ) are on/off for each pup, the lowest button is for passive/active,when all pickup buttons are up it activates the bridge bucker in series ( active or passive ) the bucker is in parallel when in other combinations first knob is volume, second is the passive tone control and the stacks are the active four band. This a whole new tonal threshold for MM's , the passive tones alone are killer. Great bass and great deal as well. same neck as a Bongo minus two frets

That's the perfect explanation, laneline. It does seem overwhelming at first , but it really isn't. I played a Stingray 5 for years and always got compliments on its tone. This thing takes it to a whole different level.

The HSS in maple is my favorite Reflex config by far... 1st... the tone block is Hog so this helps to make the tone clearer, same for the HSS vs the HH. It can absolutely do warm as well but I found that rosewood HH reflex with the Hog body was just many variants of warm tone.

I'd offer you a trade for a Big Al SSS 4 string in green sparkle but you seem to want to downsize!

Yes, Tunaman, I'm afraid it's coming to an end. I haven't had much time to enjoy this one. I bought it as a back-up for my Fodera and then realized I was gonna have to stop gigging altogether. It hasn't even been out of the house. I think this one is very special.
