Details

For sale is a beautiful G&L JB-2 Jazz Bass, made in USA, with a premium flamed maple finish and edge binding.
Leo Fender is the guy who invented the Jazz Bass; G&L ("George & Leo") was his third and last company.

Think of the JB-2 as a boutique Fender Jazz Bass, with better build quality and a lower price tag (how does that work?? no idea).
I've played a few brand new $3000+ Fender Jazz basses: I prefer this JB-2.
This is the fourth G&L bass I've owned.
Selling because I want to buy a fretless bass and it's hard to justify owning five bass guitars when you live in a small apartment :)

The bass weighs 4.16kg (9.17lbs).
Serial number CLF24613.
Excellent condition, no damage except for some chips & scratches near the output jack, which you won't care about if you are a player.
Passive electronics.
More photos on request, serious inquiries only please. (If you just want to look at pictures of pretty basses, Google Image Search is your friend...)
Ditto if you would like to hear some samples of what the bass sounds like.

I've replaced the bridge pickup with a Nordstrand NJ4.
I will include the original pickup for free.
Everything else is original.

I will ship the bass in its hard shell case.
Buyer pays all shipping and customs fees (if any).

You can read more about the G&L JB-2 here.

Disclaimer: the gentleman modelling the bass on the photo is not me but another bass player :)

Newly renovated electronics (so no scratchy pots), new DR strings.
Selling because I have too many basses and I'm in the market again for The Last Fretless I Will Ever Buy [TM].

Hello, Are you still selling this?
A few questions -
What year of manufacture?
Does it have the "non-compression truss rod design" ?
Interesting that you replaced only one pickup, why that approach?
Assume it is swamp ash as indicated for premier finishes......
How do you take payment?
Thanks,
Ed
