Here is a fine example of brilliant Korean craftsmanship. This is an early, first run a5 Artisan model with the 2 piece custom Fortress bridge and Bartolini MK-1 pups/pre.
In 9/10 condition, (one tiny seed-sized ding on tummy contour), wore flats its whole life so the FRETS are PERFECT.
SOLID maple wings w/grade A quilt throughout. 5 pc maple/walnut neck-thru no nicks or dings, Custom Fortress bridge w/no pitting or wear, satin-chrome hardware with Dunlop strap pins.(new pins not pictured)
This bass has been disassembled, 15 yrs of grime removed and an almost mint bass emerged, just amazing, protective plastic still on the control cover.
Professional full setup with Dunlop Nickel 45-125 and it plays like butter, sounds and plays GREAT!
String spacing at the Custom Fortress bridge is 16.5mm and the nut width is 45mm. Perfect for fingerstyle, pick or slap if you're good!
Rare bass this is with someone's signature in silver sharpie on back of headstock. I don't know who it is. I recently picked this up, did the cleaning, sent it to my tech and to my dismay, my XL hands are getting jumbled with the string spacing. Very disappointed, as I would really like to keep this very nice bass.
Low action, no fret buzz, clean as a whistle!
When MOST of the Big Name brands use the CORT factory to start their korean run, there's gotta be something good going on at that place, and this bass is no exception. Excellent quality build and worth every penny.
This bass is in exquisite condition, weighs 10lbs on an accurate postal scale. Comes with a BOMBPROOF hard case in exc condition.
Priced to sell at $400. Actual shipping rates apply according to where you live. I can get a very good rate w/my Fed-ex account.
Don't be a brand snob. Cort and Dean have made some very good guitars and this is certainly one of them. Only looking to get most of my investment back.
Thz for looking.
