Oh yeah...listed as 8 string only because there wasn't an option for 10....one caveat as well the thru body string ferrules come out when replacing a string; I didn't want to add glue to hold them in place, doesn't present any issues, just thought it was odd.
Trades considered are very specific: a short scale 30-33" line fretted or fretless 6 string bass...might consider the right 5 or 4 though.

Just saw this on Reverb. BEAUTIFUL instrument! I can't possibly play it, but I have to imagine that $1700 is a great price when most ERBs are multiple thousands.

Thanks! I would say that if I had the time and gear setup, this would be perfect for looping exploration as I can do guitar and bass on this.

Hmm, discovered what I can do with this and a looper! Might be holding on to it, unless the right short scale lined fretless 6 comes available.

OK, final price drop to $1500 or I'll keep her.
I noticed while replacing strings that there is chip in the headstock veneer under the truss cover...actually the workmanship on the truss openings is rough for a custom instrument.
Having said that, I put new strings on the lower end (the gauges that came with it weren't right for the low tuning...too floppy) and adjusted both trusses, and it plays and sounds even better than before. The low F# is sick...may trigger bowel movements!!
New guage for reference:
Low F# - .160
Low B - .132
Low E - .110
Low A - .090

Lovely instrument. Can't believe it's still here, honestly.
