FWIW, I haven't tried every pre on the planet, but of those I have, the East pre is the best. Edges out the Aguilar OBP-2. Have it matched with Barts on my fretless. I love the mid freq sweep feature. The only downside is that the preamp is very long. Had to install it diagonally in my Warwick.
