Like the title says, I have a 1991 Gibson Thunderbird up for sale. I've been selling off a lot of things trying to raise some cash for a car I just bought, and I just took this bass in as a trade knowing I'd be selling it right away again. It has a sunburst finish, T-Bird logo pickguard and a nice thin neck....and a lightweight at around 8 lbs, 11 oz on my scale. I spent a little time playing it last night (I have never played a T-Bird before) and I was surprised how good the neck feels. Everything works like it should and I am not aware of any issues with the bass.
Overall it is in pretty good shape with a few nicks here and there. A couple of things to note...there is one major ding near the headstock (see the pic below) and a minor scratch on the back of the neck, which isn't that noticeable, but I did want to mention it. It comes with its original case (I love the pink "shroud"), and although the case is in pretty good shape, the middle latch is broken (the outside two latches work great) and it looks like there was some sort of handle repair.
Price is $975 $935 shipped to the lower 48....payable through PayPal or a USPS Money Order. I'd really prefer a cash deal on this, but if you have something to trade that I would be a fool to pass up, just let me know.
Send me a PM or shoot me an email to [email protected] if you have any questions.
Thanks!
