Sold for $650
Ok, this bass has a story. I bought here on the TB a couple months ago. There was more buzz in the lower frets than I liked. Tweaking didn't help. I ended up calling Carl at Lakland (chicagobassdr.com). He had me mail the neck to him for a fret level. He did a great job. It was much better. He also sent me a couple different shims b/c I wanted the G string a little lower. The smaller one is currently in. I will include the other as well. Carl is an amazing guy to deal with. Highly recommended!
The next morning I played it again and noticed that the G and D string tuners were hitting each other. Not good! Upon further inspection, I found a bad crack running down the headstock thru the G string tuner hole. Yikes! (pics included) I called Carl and he had me send it back. He fixed it for free which was really cool of him. Again- super cool guy that does top notch work. We didn't bother with UPS. Anyway, he said it is stronger now than it was before. It has 2 dowels and glue holding it tight. Cosmetically, it has i small line on the front of head stock thru the D and G tuners. (see pics) Feel free to contact Carl if you need to. I'm sure he will remember this ordeal!
It plays pretty good now. There's just a little buzz on the G string if you play hard, but not terrible. I'm just not digging the 35" scale and I'm ready to move on. I just want you to know exactly what's going on with the bass and not get half the story.
Asking $750 shipped and PP'd to the lower 48. Will ship in TKL hard case
It also had a couple of dings when I bought. I will include pics.
The pics below show the ding by the bridge and the tiny scratch above the bridge pup. Then there are pics of the damaged headstock before and after.
