I have a nice early copy (us made) Bmax-T tube pre. works/sounds great. I just never use a big separates rig and need to move it on. I recently took it to mad science works here in raleigh and got a clean bill of health, and had the mod done that lowers the gain some. it is still really punchy, but at least there is some more adjustment range in the gain stage. has a groove tube 12ax7 in it right now.
I ran it into a A.M.P. model 8000 400x2 amp driving a pair of Ampeg BXT's a 410 and 115, both 4Ohm. A ridiculous rig that could just rip! I will probably put all that stuff on too..
