Recent knee surgery has me clearing out some basses that haven't been seeing gig time.
I bought this recently and while I really dig the look my NYC's get all the playing time and with a custom build on the way - out goes this one.
FYI as I have been asked a few times if the tone on this bass is "brighter, or less full than other Sadowsky basses." The answer in no, I think with the full size non chambered body this UV70 has more booty and fatter bottom than my other 2 Sadowsky J style 5's (One RV5 chambered NYC and one RS 5 Metro). The HC pups probably lean more towards a fatter/rounder less bright tone as well.
They also ask about pickup placement, that this makes it brighter, so I measured the pup placement from the nut to the center of the pole pieces.
Neck pup on RV NYC and UV70 are the same at 27 7/8 inches, while the RS was 27 3/4".
Bridge pup NYC 31 1/2", UV70 31 3/4 and the RS 31 3/8".
You decide whether this will make a difference, I think it doesn't unless you play fully rolled back to the bridge (which I never do) and even then I bet most people could not pick which bass they are hearing.
Would consider trades for Fbass fives or Roscoe SKB/Century fives.
