This bass is kind of a holy grail to me, so I'd like to ask some questions: First, is 5.2 kg the actual weight, or is that the weight from the website? If the latter, what is the actual weight? Also, I've had several Thumbs, which were fantastic, except for the neck dive and the reach to the low frets. How is the neck dive on this one? Is the condition mint, near mint, or what?

Thanks.

Hi Flatwound, thank you for your enquiry. I have just weighed the bass and it comes in at 4.8Kg or 10.58Lbs so it a little less heavy than originally stated. No problems with neck dive on this bass at all, when standing with the bass I find it very nicely balanced and bottom frets are very easily accessible. When seated without a strap on the bass there is a bit of neck dive alright but no more than any other bass I own. The bass is in mint condition, I cannot find a mark on it. It has been very well looked after and flightcase is in mint condition also. Are you interested?

I actually the same bass from someone off here back in May, it's an excellent bass and I couldn't be happier! Good luck with the sale.

Beautiful craftsmanship. Do you know what the finish is on the back of the neck? Do they use nitro, or oil of some sort…?

It's actually an oil finish on the back of the neck. It's very smooth and very easy to play. It feels great.
