For sale Aria Pro II Steve Bailey 6 Fretless

Can you tell us a little more about the electronics on the Aria? Cool bass!

I don't know to much about the exact specs. The bass is amazing though. I have never played one before until I got this. I would keep it if I didn't have to do my pre buy for propane. It has the typical Volume/Blend/Bass/Mid/Treble controls and it's a 9 volt system.

I gotcha. What's the string spacing? And is it an ebony fingerboard? Thanks!

From what I read on the web I have found 19mm......still looking for the wood. Looks like some sort of Rosewood

Considering that you have owned/played Peavey Cirrus 6-strings, I am wondering if you could give me a comparison of a Cirrus 6 neck versus the Ibanez Terra Firma.

The reason I ask is because I took a chance and bought a Cirrus 6 off of a TBer several months ago. My biggest concern was that the neck wouldn't work for me radius-wise or whatever...but my gut told me it would, and I wasn't disappointed: The Cirrus neck feels very good and is not uncomfortable at all.

I owned a mid-2000s Ibanez BTB bolt-on 6-string for a few years and that was one of the best-playing basses I have ever owned; prior to buying it, I had been strictly a 4-string guy , and had been scared to even look at 5 or 6-string basses. I sold that Ibanez in 2011 and have had seller's remorse ever since...about a year ago I went into a local shop and they had an Ibanez BTB 6-string Premium model on the wall. I messed around on it for about five minutes, but unlike the bolt-on I'd owned before (and the Cirrus I own now), the neck just wasn't working for me, so I didn't even consider buying it.

And THEN Ibanez released this Terra Firma model, and I have been kinda sorta lusting for one ever since, but none of the local shops are carrying it, so I haven't been able to actually get my hands on one. I would hate to order one through one of the local shops or, say, an online retailer like Sweetwater, only to find that, playability-wise, it just doesn't work for me.

Anyways, I don't mean to ramble on here/hijack your thread, but if you could A/B the neck/playability of a Cirrus 6 versus the Terra Firma 6, it would be much appreciated!

EDIT: And after all that, I scrolled to the top of the thread and noticed that the Ibanez is no longer in your ad...I assume it sold? Ah well... I figured it wouldn't last long at that price - Still...if you spent any time playing it and could give me your thoughts, I'd still like to hear 'em!

Yeah it sold on the good ol' EBay... Anyways. I would have love to kept it. I would like to get another one someday. They are sweet basses. A single cut at that price range with those features. I would have compared it to some ones that I have owned that were 3X as much and said it was nicer. I won't name names...
