Hi guys! I'm about to relocate to Portland OR, so it's time to offload some gear.

First up is this 1981 Ibanez Blazer P-bass in natural finish. I've owned a couple of these basses, and this was by far the best sounding and lightest that I came across (8.4 pounds according to my bathroom scale). Also included is the original hard case. I got this bass in 2005 and have taken good care of it ever since. The bass is all original except for the tone knob, including of course the famous pickup and heart tuners that make these basses so special.

Here's a link to an album that I recorded entirely with this bass (except for the tracks that have double bass of course) so you can get a sense of its tone from the track previews:

There are quite a few minor cosmetic dings and dents on the bass as well as the case, but everything is 100% functional. Overall I would classify the cosmetic condition as nicely relic'ed (is it relic'ed if the dings happened naturally? Well anyway you know what I mean).

Some of the more substantial cosmetic issues that I would draw your attention to:

- The original tone knob is missing and replaced with a plastic one. The volume knob is original. The pots themselves are also original. The tone knob fell off somewhere in my studio but I cannot for the life of my find where it rolled. BUT if you buy this bass and I find it while packing everything up I'll be happy to ship it to you!
- There is some sort of melting or something on both the body finish and the pickguard that is parallel to the E string that you can kind of see in the photos (more so on the pickguard). This was like this when I got it so I'm not sure the cause. I'm guessing a previous owner had attached a homemade thumbrest that they later removed.
- The case has some pretty good wear to it, including the piece of cloth that holds the lid to the body being broken. But all the hinges and clasps work. I never used this case to go to and from gigs, just liked to keep it as a funky accessory to the bass.
- The hardware is pretty tarnished, but I just now quickly gave all the parts of the bridge and tuners a quick turn and everything still works so that's good. The truss rod is also still working.
- This is a weird one, but there is some sort of gummy substance behind the E-string slot in the nut. It was like this when I got it, but the setup is so nice that I didn't want to clean it out! I'll leave it as is and let you decide what to do.

Otherwise this thing is a really nice bass! Other details: 1.75" at the nut, adjustable pole pieces on the pickup, Made in Japan (I love 80s Japanese basses and I know there are plenty of fellow fans out there).

Asking $350 including the case, plus shipping. At the moment I'm in southern New Hampshire and am happy to meet a buyer in the area, or otherwise split shipping with you (looks like about $39 to ship halfway across the country). PayPal is preferred.

I would definitely consider trades, but we'll need to work out something where I ship this bass to you and you ship your trade to my new address in Oregon. Shouldn't be a problem. Items I'd be interested in (+/- $ on whichever end as appropriate):

- Aguilar Tone Hammer 500
- Aguilar SL112
- Sadowsky Metro (obviously a lot of $ from me on this one)
- Mono gig bag

I'm open to other ideas too, hit me up with your trade suggestions! Bass wise I'm not really interested in anything fretless or not a bolt-on just FYI.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!
