Details

SWR SM-400 Bi-Amp/Stereo Bass Amplifier in very good condition: $150 plus shipping.

400 watts in mono, 200 watts x 2 channels in bi-amp/stereo. Tube pre-amp, solid state power amp. Built in limiter, 4 band parametric equalizer.

Amp dates to 1991, long before Fender. I used it for about 4 years then retired it. I used to run one 4 x 10" and one 15" cabinet and it was loud enough for medium sized venues without front end support.

A couple of the pots and sliders are a little scratchy and need a shot of cleaner. Missing one screw on the faceplate. I replaced the on off switch.

Rack not included.

I just bought one of these today (it's on the way to me via UPS). Did you ever use yours in bridged mode? If so, what do you have to do (besides setting it to bridged)? Is that it or do you have to use a certain speaker jack? I've had two different SWR amps (Redhead & the Basic 350) but I've never had a stereo amp. I'm only going to run one 15" cab so I'm only interested in bridged mode. Thank you :)

It'd been a while since I had one of these -- mine eventually kind of baked and multiple techs couldn't pinpoint why it's break up at higher volume/heat, mine was before the fan was installed -- but it had a special banana plug cable (at the amp end) that you need for bridge mode. I ran it bridged all the time.

Thank you. My SM-400 just showed up a few hours ago via UPS. It came in a giant SKB case. But to my dismay - they forgot the power cord. They already set one aside for me at no charge that I have to pick up tomorrow. But it kinda took the wind out of my sail having a new Modulus, Darkglass pedal, SWR amp - but can't play them because of no power cord lol.
