Sorry to hijack the thread but can you compare this to the d800? These are the 2 heads I'm thinking about.

I asked the same question when I picked up the amp. He said the GK has a much more forward sound, with stronger mid presence. The Mesa has a fatter more tonal presentation.

^This. The GK has that super-bright top end that is hard to dial out. Check out the Subway thread for more expert analysis. Both great heads. The Subway is loud, the GK is really loud.
