Letting go of a USA Customs Guitars (USA Custom Guitars) Jazz 5 that's just not getting any playing time.

Specs:

Graphite-reinforced maple neck and board, 34" scale with 22 frets
Rear-routed chambered alder body in black
Bartolini hum-cancelling J pickups
Kent Armstrong KSBT 2-band preamp (http://www.kentarmstrong.sk/)
Hipshot Ultralite tuners and A-type bridge with through-body string loading and 18mm spacing

The spacing and neck radius just feel so different from the wide, flat neck on my Curbow that I never find myself picking it up.

Sounds great, and in overall very good condition with only a little player wear, and some marks on the side of the headstock from hanging on a wall hanger (I assume -- see pic). Not a featherweight, but fairly lightweight, maybe 9 lb. or so.

Only negatives are 1) the treble knob has what looks like a replacement pot with no center detent, wired backwards from normal (CW = cut, CCW = boost), and 2) has a tiny bit of fret sprout from the dry winter weather and could use a touch-up with a file.

Ships in cheap Roadrunner gig bag.

Asking $500 shipped to the lower 48.

Trade interests: Nice fretless or electric upright, Warmoth 4-string, Warwick LWA 1000 or GB Shuttle Max 9.2

Thanks!

I'm curious about the bleeding on the headstock from the hanger, what type hangers are you using? I've read on TB that there are no issues with hanging basses on wall hangers. IMP, this is an issue with hanging!!

It's not "bleeding", it's where the hanger wore through the finish to the bare wood, and it was like that when I got the bass (used). I've seen the same thing on lots of instruments hanging in music stores over the years, which is why I would never use a wall hanger for instruments myself.

Why is this still here? USACG makes great parts and at this price, Mike is giving it away!!!

Thanks, Nino!

I don't have a scale, but it's pretty light with a chambered alder body and graphite in the neck--I'd say in the 9 lb. range, maybe less. Controls are volume-blend-bass-treble (see the original posting for notes about the treble control). And yes, 60's spacing.
