I built this bass a couple of years ago. I'm not playing 5 string basses anymore, and I figure someone might really enjoy playing it. You can see the build process here. It was bestbassgear.com bass of the week here. It is a fantastic bass--perfect setup, tone and sustain, just super fun to play. I don't have a scale, but I'd say it's probably 10-11 lbs. put it on a scale and it is 10.4 lbs. The finish is still really nice--no dings or anything--although it apparently could have used more grain filler as the finish has sunk into the grain on the back a bit.
