why are you selling this piece!!! I am saddened. But for those who don't have one or are curious about one, this is probably one of the best boutique basses out there. In my opinion, on the level of ken smiths and mtds tonally and asthetically.

I'm selling to make room for a Sadowsky I've ordered and possibly another Fender Custom Shop piece. Anybody that isn't already familiar with Callowhill basses should definitely look into them! They are fantastic basses... I am just a Sadowsky loyalist to the core and couldn't justify keeping this bass whilst shelling out $6k for a new toy... without risking my wife returning home with a brand new Mercedes.

Good luck getting in touch with the seller -- I hope you're able to.

I sold a bass overseas, once. I was very hesitant to at first, but the buyer gave me multiple means of verifying his identity (and I did) and I checked in with other people who'd sold him instruments before. He was also helpful with arranging transport. Even with all that, I still found the transaction slightly stressful, but it ended up working out well.

Some people are more comfortable selling overseas than others -- and if they're not, you'll have to respect that -- but the more you can do to make them feel comfortable with the transaction (put yourself in their shoes), the better your chances.
