Details

I've decided to sell my beloved Ampeg B-15N. It's one of the very early models, either 1961 or 1962. Random Navy flair tolex. I think they only used that for those two years. Serial number on the inside is 112108.
It's in about as good of condition as you can ever find for one of these. I believe everything is original except for a newer speaker installed. I still have the original Jensen, which I'll include in the sale, but it is torn. Could be re-coned if you choose. This current installed speaker sounds great as is, so I never changed it.

I think even the tubes are original. Still has the two-prong plug, and the side speaker cable. I have the dolly, but I don't have the tilt back rod that came with these originally.

I'm sure you will have questions, and please feel free to PM me.

I'd strongly prefer a local sale, but I'd be willing to ship. I'd ship it in two boxes. One for the head, and one for the cab. If we go this route, give me a few extra days to find some good boxes and packing material. I will ship it fully insured and will pack it very well, but as you know, this is a vintage tube amp and FedEx and UPS aren't known for giving packages the white glove treatment.

I don't really have any references to price the amp. I'm putting it at $3200 plus shipping if needed.
Please feel free to PM me with an offer. The worst I'll say is No Thanks.

Thank you

If anyone is seriously interested, make me an offer. I don't have much to go off of to compare prices. The worst I'll say is "No Thanks".

THese are fabulous and rare in this condition/age. If you change the price at the top to your current price you might catch more attention. GLWTS

Thanks. I've never tried to change a price in the title. Will try that now.

These are fabulous and rare in this condition/age.

Random Navy Flair.
And a handwritten model number on the tag. I wouldn't be too surprised if that's Jess's handwriting.
I've seen like oh IDK, about 3 of these in the wild during the past 4 decades or so.
But who's counting? :D

'Mid 1958 saw a change from the gray tree bark covering to a vinyl with a random check pattern and silver flecks.
Jess Oliver called this covering "random flair". Ampeg switched over by late summer 1958 and continued to use the covering until early 1962.'
