These are basically an OBP-1 in a box with (x2) 9v batteries running at 18v. I's just like having a preamp in your bass but external. Battery life is the same as it would be if in the bass not like a standard pedal. Great preamps for the passive basses and don't come up for sale often. Discontinued years ago when the original Tone Hammer was released.
