I bought this for a rickenbacker 4004 bass but I never used it; it changes the pickups from dual coil to single coil with a push/pull knob ; instead of 2 knobs and a switch your bass will have 3 knobs; it also replaces the toggle switch with a blend knob; NO modification or routing needed!! If later you want to install the original harness you can do it . A nice Gold knob is included too...but unfortunately it's not the right size! Sorry I bought the wrong one!
They don't make these anymore ; it's a great way to make your 4004 sound like a 4003 and back to 4004. Very clever invention made by a Rickenbacker fanatic and electronic wizard who uses the same high quality components that Rickenbacker use !
