I am regretfully letting go of my '77 Guild B-301. This is the coolest looking bass I have ever owned, and the single coil pickup in the P position rivals anything I have ever heard. Truly an underrated pickup.

The bass is in very good condition. The white finish has aged to a really cool creamy yellow.

The good:
-Neck is dead straight, plays like a dream
-Hardware and electronics work perfectly
-Lightweight
-Looks friggin' cool

The bad:
-Missing one pickguard screw
-Pickup casing has a crack in it, does not affect adjustment or functionality at all
-The original thumbscrew for the 3rd point of bridge adustment has been replaced with a flathead machine screw. Again, adjusts perfectly fine, I didn't know it wasn't original until someone else point it out to me.
-Frets are level, but fret life is running a little low

Feel free to ask any questions! Hardshell case included. $1000 + shipping CONUS

I'm hoping I don't regret selling this one, but I probably will! Maybe I will just hang on to the pickup...

Also, apologies for all the dust on that pickguard! I had no idea until I just looked at the pics again!

Yes, you may end up feeling regret if you sell. Just be sure as they are becoming nearly impossible to find and replacing it is not likely. Not to mention that based upon supply values will continue to go up in the future.
Good luck!

Played a B-301 exclusively for 22 years. I wish I wouldve kept it. These are great and underappreciated basses.

i used to have one of these.

really, really good basses. neck dive is a problem, but i always loved mine- it was the easiest bass to get stupid low action on. great pickup, great bridge.

good luck with the sale!

Yeah... the neck dive issue.
The stock Guild tuners are massive chrome plated bronze machines and are really heavy. I put a set of Hipshot Ultra-Lite tuners on my B-302 and that pretty much solved the neck dive.

I just bought an sb202 a few weeks ago,Guild makes really great quality basses!
Love the faded creamy white w/black pickguard-it would be a nice mate to my Rick 4000.

I wish I had the $$$. This is cool in so many ways...design, color combo, head stock, pickup placement, weight...
