Every time I tell myself that I'm going to keep just a couple basses, I somehow end up with more than I can justify...
Up for sale is a really nice Yamaha Motion II MB-II bass. This is the high-end model with the fine tuners on the bridge. I've never seen a bridge like this on a bass before...
32" and very lightweight and comfortable. The medium scale doesn't seem to sacrifice any low end or clarity and the passive electronics, it's got a VERY wide range of tones. The tone control doubles as a push/pull knob that switches the pickups between single coil and humbucking.
The action is set super low and it plays great. Neck is straight and truss rod works as it should.
I had trouble getting the finish to show up, but it's a pearlescent white that has hints of blue/pink/purple/green when the light hits it just right. The tacky (IMHO) giant "MOTION B - MBII YAMAHA" graphics have been removed from the front of the bass and are barely visible as ghosting from the paint fading over the years. It's in really nice condition for an older bass, with the normal light surface swirls/belt buckle marks and only one minor chip in the clear coat finish (see pic).
Comes with original hardshell case, owner's manual and truss rod tool.
$400 shipped in the continental US.
Here's a great example of how nice these sound:
