I can only find one bass demo on YouTube and know nothing else about VFE or this pedal in particular. It sounds like a pretty heavy gated fuzz. Can you expand on that? And does it play well with active basses or is it like the Wolly Mammoth?

Well... the Woodchipper does sound gated, but I don't really think of it like a gated fuzz like the Copilot Orbit as it doesn't have as dramatic of a zipper sound. It's more of a gnarly fuzz.

I can't answer your question about how active basses sound with it, but I can say that I'm reducing the price by $5!
