About the EWS:

the EWS is in series with the N3b (pretty much like if it was still used as a stompbox)

There's a couple of mods that can be done to this system:

1- add a sw as a bypass (active/passive) for the EWS
(together with the active/passive for the N3b you will be able to select which ever system you want separately and/or use the bass total passive)

2- have the mid frq sw moved on the mid control as push/pull and the mid sw modded as bypass for the EWS (everything as above at 1-)

Maybe I'm being thick, but how is the EWS mid circuit being used in conjunction with the Nord? (love Nordstrand's preamps and pups BTW)

Certainly gives you lots of options. One of the first things I thought of was using the EWS like Sadowsky uses their mid boost on the Will Lee. Set it the way you want and have a switch to give you that instant mid boost when you need it.

The original owner wanted the ews on all the time, but it can be modified like this (which would be the same as sadowsky):

If you've not played a Xotic bass your not going to know what this one's about. They are truly amazing instruments and this one is a step above a stock Xotic. I know; I own two and one's a brother to this one. These are basses for pros.
Someone should snap this one up.....fantastic deal!
