So I got this bass from Thomann music, straight outta Germany! No, it wasn't built there. The Starbass Rockbasses are assembled in China, and sent to the German factories to be set up and quality inspected by their luthiers.I am aware that new Starbasses in this class go for about $800 ish new, but the finish on this one may be the only one for sale in the US. God knows I couldn't find one. I paid about $1200 for this one.
The neck feels phenomenal, smaller than the corvettes I've played. The sound is big and almost reminiscent of a P bass, with a bit more semi-hollow thump. Comes with Warwick rock bag, and the tools to set it up. Currently strung with NYXL .130's.
There are small finish blemishes around the binding on the back that I've photographed. Otherwise, the bass is in near-new condition.
Been GASing for a Dingwall, specifically the NG2 5ers. Trades for a Dingwall would include cash from my end. Send some offers my way. I've only had a couple of transactions on here, but they have gone very quickly and smoothly.
