Come get your passive P/J goodness right here!

Since I got my Spector I just don't play this bass anymore, and it should be played. It's a great passive P/J bass that plays smooth with the flats on it. They are the same flats that were on it when I bought it a few years ago. No idea what brand, but they have multi colored ball ends and blue string wrapping at the tuning pegs. They are nice and broken in, matter of fact the whole bass has a nice worn in smooth feel to it. I suspect that whoever owned it and had all the mods done also had the neck gone over but I can not confirm that, it just feels that way. There isn't any major damage or nicks or scratches that go thru the paint. The pick guard is brand new, bought it at GC a week ago and put it on. The original was white and most every screw had been overtightened and the holes were split so I dropped a Fender P bass guard on and it fit like a glove.

Here are the specs:

  • Material, body: Alder (not Basswood)
  • Material, neck: Maple
  • Material, fingerboard: Maple
  • Glossy finish - Black
  • Bolt-on neck construction
  • 34 in scale
  • 42 mm standard nut
  • 21 extra jumbo frets
  • 400 mm fingerboard radius
  • Chrome hardware
  • Hipshot vintage tuners
  • Gotoh bridge
  • New Fender P bass pick guard - Blk/Wht/Blk
  • Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder P/J p'ups
  • Schaller strap locks - Black
  • Controls: 3 way switch (neck/parallel/bridge), volume, tone
  • Weight - ~9lbs on my digital bathroom scale
Asking $300 OBO shipped CONUS

I'd take a small class D amp in trade, must have an effects loop send/return.

Included with the bass is an SKB hard case and a set of GHS Boomers Roundwound strings. I put them on and found I preferred the flats so I swapped them back. The GHS are Med gauge, a .115 E if I recall.

STRAP IS NOT INCLUDED.

That's a whole lotta bass for $300. Blows even the latest Squiers away and it already has all the bolt on upgrades you could want.

Part of me wants this to just keep a passive PJ on hand...shouldn't last long.
