Hello! I've been working as a full-time musician for the last few years and, due to the nature of the beast, I've accumulated quite a few instruments. Since I travel and the gigs have a way of changing (and I have some exciting new bills to pay), I need to let a few of the instruments under my care go.
I'm a firm believer in that, if I'm not using an instrument, I should sell it. I will be using some other equipment of mine for my next contract, so I need to let these go to pay off my other bills first.
The price below is without shipping. If you have trade offers or other suggestions, please feel free to let me know or ask. In terms of shipping, I've had success shipping the neck and body in the same box, but unattached. This reduces the cost and allows me to pack each part more carefully and padded, but I'm happy to ship them together, neck attached.
All photos have the blemishes and dings catalogued to the best of my abilities. If I've missed anything or there are any questions, please let me know. This bass is completely fine playability-wise and all blemishes are cosmetic in nature. I've still outlined them for full disclosure.
Without further ado, here is the instrument:
Warwick Thumb 6 BO:
This is a German-made, bolt-on, 6 string Thumb. This bass was made around February 2004 and has a Ovankol Body and Neck and a Wenge fretboard.
I've replaced the original MEC preamp with a Bartolini NTMB preamp. This bass is (currently) completely active. I believe that I have the original preamp and, if I can find it, I'll be happy to throw it in with the shipped bass.
I believe that I'm the 3rd owner of this bass. I've always wanted to own one of these and I'm glad that I've gotten the chance to. If this one doesn't sell, I'm sure I might come back to it at some point.
This bass is in good condition. It's been used regularly by myself and at least one other person, so there are dings and swirls, but some waxing and TLC should minimize them.
I'm asking for $1250.
