For sale 1955 Kay 3/4 C-1

A vintage root beer brown 3/4 Kay bass. Built in 1955 serial number 37285. The action is really high and the bridge is low. I believe it does need a neck reset as reflected in the low price. This fretboard is hard maple. The ebonization was wearing off the fingerboard under the A, D, and G strings and the previous owner stripped the rest of it off. The black is still under the E string. It does not come with the pickup you see in the pictures that is already gone. If you work on Basses or know someone who does this will be a really sweet old Kay. Located in Ringwood New Jersey.
