The top is beautiful flame maple, and the mahagony body looks sharp with the Omega cutout. The amazing Alembic Series electronics give this bass incredible versatility... from the punch of a good old Jazz bass to the sustain and grind of a grand piano - and everything in between.
The bass is in near-mint condition. The flame maple neck is contrasted by 3 purpleheart laminates for strength and style. Of course, the bass plays like butter! There are no significant dings or scratches of any kind save for a couple of scratches on the brass control cavity plate. They are almost impossible to photograph.
Unlike more recent Alembic Series basses, this one does not have LED position markers. Another tweak is that the neck is patterned after the asymetrical neck on a old pre-Gibson Tobias Basic I used to own - I sent that bass to Alembic and they copied the neck shape from the Tobias perfectly. Neck width is 1.75" at the nut and 2.75" at the 24th fret. String spacing at the bridge is 17mm. Scale length is 34"

Please note that the sale price does not include the Alembic DS-5 power supply that can be used to power the bass. These are available directly from Alemic should you want one, but the bass will also run on batteries.
