For sale, my GWB-1005.
Yes the brand says Ibanez but these are NOT made in the Ibanez factory, rather, they are handmade, start to finish, here: Sugi Guitars – Official Web International - Guitars and Basses They only make a handful of these every year - I have number 1 made in August of 2013. Bought Jan 2014. .
This is the latest version with the upgraded, rosewood, poly coated fingerboard - not the old ebonol and it is gorgeous. I had the board trued by Mo at Nordstrand - currently the action is set at 1MM at the 24th fret with no buzzing - doesn't get any lower than that.
Selling because I am going to fretted full time. That said, if I were continuing fretless I absolutely would not part with this bass.
It sounds incredible and I put it up against any other boutique brand any time, any place.
It has a couple of nicks/dings which are shown in the linked Google Drive folder.
solo starts at 4:30, recorded on my phone but you can take a listen - she sings very pretty in my opinion.
