Just got this bass from another TBer. It's great, but I thought it could replace having a six string, but it I found a 5 just can't do that. I bought a few other basses, found the right one, and now I'm getting rid of the excess. Really wish I could keep it but I gotta keep my bank account up to snuff.
Aguilar DCB pickups and Aguilar OBP-3 preamp.
This bass is set up to play medium, but can be set quite low. It has La bella Round wound strings on it.
This bass has some cosmetic wear in the usual areas, thumb rest/neck pickup, back of upper body. None of it is really noticeable from the crowd. The dark finish and burled figuring helps.
It sounds like a million bucks and is light and comfortable. Very versatile tone, and I love the active/passive switch. The mids have a 400/800 switch, too, which I have found very useful.
All in all, a great price on a great bass shipped CONUS.
Trades: I would consider trading for other 5 or 6 string basses as long as substantial cash could be included on your end.
