Have a 400rb from mid 80's. Has had recent service pots cleaned and effects jacks scrubbed and cleaned. Has new rectifier bridge and power capacitors that are doubled the stock value. The 400rb boost is jumper'd to be on. Common issue with older ones. Turn it down if you don't want the boost FET sound. I always use it. These are strong amps, not dodgy used 'whatifs'. I am a tech and keep my stuff right.
