Amazing pretransition 1973 Rickenbacker 4001. All original including OEM case. Rear pickup cover missing, but a replacement can easily be found since most people remove these for playability.

Checkerboard binding in good shape
Clear plexi truss rod cover
Older style adjusting screw bridge pickup
Toaster neck pickup
Truss rod in good working shape
Neck nice and stright, no twist
9lbs
Fantastic early Rick tone, strung with TI

Interest in potential trade toward a pre cbs pbass or earlier Rick 4001.

Sure. I just sold some key things so only looking for the right trade on this one. Older 4001 or a 1960 to 64 pbass plus some cash from me. This is really a good one!

The bass I was selling it for slipped away. At the moment I'm going to hold onto for abit. Its a birth year and month bass for me too! And it is one of the rare really good players....:) If other bass comes aval. may put back on to afford....

Don't hesitate to send me a message if you decide, as I said, I'm trying to replace mine and refuse to be raped by E-Bay or Reverb. The 72's and January 73's usually are right up my alley. I had a misfortune with mine and she's gone, I doubt I'll find her again and I do want to replace her and have things back to normal. I'm looking for a player more than anything else.
