These are both some of those Fenders made at Fuji Gakken plant, the hype of this era is well deserved, my main bass for years now is a MIJ 1986 model. This one is a 1987.The weight of the bass is 8.25 pounds, super light. The bass is a insanely nice player, not sure a better P bass could be had for the coin.

The bass is all original with exception of a Aftermarket Pickup. Its very nice playing and all electronics function flawlessly. The body is a nice 3 color sunburst, The neck has nice action, a straight neck, no fret buzz, the frets are in good shape. The electronics work perfect as well , I believe the P pickup is a EB-60P Bill Lawrence, no i don't have the original. This is labeled as a PB-562 by Fender Japan and is stamped on the neck and body where it bolts on, meaning Precision Bass Domestic and 62 for 1962, the year this was meant to be a reissue of loosely, they didn't make this to be a accurate reissue but based upon '62 specs.
The condition is good, the structural and workings of it is great. As you can see there are some light dings but 1987 was nearly 30 years ago and I think its held up well considering. The frets and neck are in excellent condition. No case. Daddrio rounds.

That LPB is a beauty! I used to have an '86 same bass and color but a maple neck and I regrettably sold it. Not sure if yours is the same but On mine the shade of blue looked different depending on the lighting. Indoors mine appeared darker blue almost navy blue sometimes but In bright light or outdoors it occasionally appeared to be like an aqua blue and also sometimes took on a shade of blue like yours appears. Sometimes wondered if mine was actually LPB...very unique color. Anyway Great Bass! GLWTS!

The blue really changes in light, the photos are bright natural light but indoors it's much deeper, it looks like fender electron blue which was a limited Mexico fender color, I had a Japan fender Strat that's color was identical so I think the japan fenders colors are universal

The necks are very middle of the road, slim, with just a touch of chunk. I have one I bought new as well, and as beat as mine is, the neck is very stable. I've only had to adjust the truss rod a handful of times since it was new. I adjust the truss rods sometimes that much a month with my other fenders. They are great sounding and sturdy basses

two fingers

Opinionated blowhard. But not mad about it.

I was just reunited with a red one I started on 30+ years ago. There's a long thread about it from a couple days ago. I have been playing it the last couple of days and doing some tweeking here and there. These E series basses live up to the hype.

Good luck with your sale.
