The koa is really beautiful!. Unfortunately, the bass was well-loved by its previous owner, and gigged hard. There are some dings, including what looks like a thumb wear mark near the top of the neck pickup and bad case of belt buckle rash on the back of the bass wear the finish is actually worn down to the wood in spots.

The good news is that I've priced the bass accordingly.
Asking price is $1,800 plus insured shipping. No trades of any kind, thanks.

Please feel free to ask me any questions that you might have..and thanks for looking!

I had an identical bass as this and gigged it 4 to 5 nights a week from '79 to '82. Wonderful in all aspects, the buyer should be well pleased!

that's a really cool bass.

i don't say that about stuff of this sort very often!

is that top pickup in a traditional p-bass placement along the string? looks slightly further up i think (?) probably just the photos / not being on a normal p-body thats throwing off my eyes.

Without measuring it I think you are correct in that the neck pickup is closer to the neck than a single pickup would be on a standard P bass.

A beautiful rare combination here folks. Typically they are maple with koa stringers. or Koa with maple stringers. I always thought the Eagle is the most beautiful body design ever. Someone get this please!
