Selling TWO Music Man Stingray (USA) SUB basses!

Both are the passive versions, which sound surprisingly close to the active basses. I have used them on a gig and they sound great! Not quite as much top end - but a more focused bottom end. Still sound great for slap.

I was in "collector mode" for awhile and collected up to 6 of these - but there are a few other things I'd like to get - so I need to let a few basses go.

BOTH are in fantastic shape! VERY close to MINT condition. NO paint wear on the bodies or neck! Both have new strings and are set up with fairly low action. No issues with these basses!

One comes with a relatively cheap semi-hard case and the other with a decently padded gig bag.

Asking $475 for either bass - Paypal accepted - will split shipping
Buy BOTH for $900 - PayPal accepted - will split shipping

Nope - neither came with the diamond plate pickguard. I do have one of these pickguard, but its not in great shape.

Awesome price,on some nice clean SUB's! And someone, who takes care of their basses! True to his word.

Hi, I am very interested in the blue s.u.b. I've had a stingray and a big al, loved them both. Would you say these have a little bit of the "weak g", like other musicman basses? Not a dealbreaker, I'm just curious, since they are wired passive.

Excellent question!
I know what you mean about the lower output G string. I think you just learn to hit the G string harder on most Stingrays! :)

I was really pleasantly surprised with the tone of the passive electronics. They are quiet and may not put out as much output as their active counterparts, but they it really sounds good! It's a very balanced sounding setup. The high end may be a touch more "tame" than the active version - but it's still more than respectable - and the low end is tighter and more focused (to my ears). I actually got more positive comments on tone (from my guitarist) with my passive SUB's than with my regular (active) Stingrays.

I don't know your preference in tone - but I'd be surprised if you weren't pleased with the tone and balance on these passive SUB's.
Hope that helps!

Me too! These passive versions sound great! One of the best sounding passive basses I've come across.
