Just a word to any potential buyers: If you're on the fence, go ahead and buy it. I have this same bass and it's VERY nice. When I bought mine, I was thinking I'd probably have to switch out the pickups to a set of Geezers or Duncan SB-1's. But it sounds excellent with the stock pups. I'm not a MIA snob. I've owned a lot of Fenders (MIA, MIJ, and MIM). But I will say that I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Don't let the MIM tag dissuade you. This one and a '50s Classic I owned were both MIM, and both killer basses. Somebody will love this!

Thanks! You are correct. It really plays so well. The tone is great also. I'm just playing 5 string basses only now, so some lucky person is going to get a sweet bass here. Very versatile bass.
