Details

Up for sale is a Carvin DN640 double neck bass/guitar (neck through both necks and ebony fretboards as well). The top neck is a 4 string electric bass and the bottom neck is a 6 string electric guitar. I am totally taking a guess but I believe it was made some time in the 1990’s. It’s in good condition and is fully functional there are a few dings/dents in the body 5 or more not through the paint on the front of the body tried to photograph but they don’t come out in the photos so I am stating it in the listing. The back of the body has more dents and does have some belt buckle rash that is very visible but not through the paint. Now the guitar neck has a chip in the paint by high e string at the tenth fret it is the size of a full Q-tip just the cotton head see photo (12.JPG) this does not affect the playability of it. On the back of the bass headstock there is a paint chip and a ding you can see this in photo (11.JPG). On the front of the bass headstock there are some dings just below the G string tuner see photo (5.JPG). Now hopefully I did not miss anything please understand that this is a used instrument and it does have some wear and tear and surface scratches on it as stated I did my best not to miss anything but I am human. Moving on the guitar neck has a Kahler tremolo and is fully functional with a Kahler locking nut which after I received this wonderful double neck (in June 2016) I sent it off to Dean Gateway Custom Guitars and Dean fully check it out, did a complete setup and changed the strings on both necks (bass Blue Steels ML 45 -105 and the guitar Blue Steels Regular 10 – 46) and also discovered that the locking nut needed to be replaced and it was with the exact one that came with it ordered from Kahler. It also only came with 3 original knobs so I replaced them with ones that were as close to the originals as I could find due to Carvin did not carry these knobs and anymore. Both necks have 24 frets and this double neck sounds awesome and it is around my best guess 13 pounds or more. I don’t have a working scale so this is the best I can do and I want to state that the white finish does have a little bit of a yellow tint to it but not that bad but is starting. The double neck comes with the original case which is in good condition but has a few tears in the vinyl and all the latches work, a strap that came with it, the Kahler tremolo arm, the 3 original knobs, the original Kahler locking nut that had to be replaced and the Carvin maintenance paperwork. Shipping is included in the asking price NO TRADES PLEASE making room to walk. PayPal only for payment and I ship in the U.S. only.
Thank you for looking!!!
