Ampeg Dan Armstrong lucite bass, early 1970-71 with toggle switch (treble and and bass boost). Been played and run over years, this beast has a scary tone and extremely powerful sustain.
Completely original, revered as a deity and in excellent condition.
The original wiring configuration is a bit tarnished in the tone and the output signal -nothing 'wrong' considering that this beast is 46 years old - so currently it's replaced by professional luthier with a no-nonsense p-bass wiring CTS 250K Pots + Orange Drop .047uf capacitor that brings out the best from the instrument with real punch bass tone and super clean treble. Mostly like the first '69 configuration but on steroids.
Every part is fully functioning, and if you have time you can replace everything back, even if the current configuration is perfect for playing around.
Neck is 30" short scale, super fast and thin with some little "years of nice playing" sweat stains on the back that doesn't compromise the playability.
Textured formica scratchplate and trussrod cover in superb condition.
Original single coil one blade pickup , original rosewood bridge and rosewood thumb rest, plus a custom ebony 'fork' bridge.
Original Schaller keys plus a fourth string Grover's 70s era key.
4,3 kgs = 9 lbs approx, SUPERLIGHT!
Very rare Original Hard Case in good condition.
