Made in the USA Lakland Darryl Jones 4! You don't see many of these around! I think they only make 15 of these a year, and this means it's probably around 2011 or 2012. Definitely one of the most comfortable basses EVER, with all the nice warmth and mojo you expect from these fine guys.
Specs:
- Alder body/Rosewood Fingerboard, pearl blocks and binding. Super resonant and sings.
- Olympic White
- Quartersawn Maple Neck, classic US oiled finish.
- Clear(!) pickguard
- Passive Lakland/Hanson single coil pickups (pretty darn sure at least since they stopped using the Aeros before that). Volume/Volume/Tone
- 7.25" radius. Nice vintage pre-CBS feel. The Skylines have a 10" radius.
- US Hipshot Tuners, regular wound, not the reverse wound
- 8.44 lbs! Really light, lightest Lakland I've owned (out of like 8, I think)
- G&G hardshell case, older one still in good shape.
Issues to note: While it's in excellent shape, there's a ding on the side of the bass. No crack in the wood or anything, but it's there. The tone control has a "click" halfway down when rolling it off. It's not audible, but you can feel it. Also, for some reason, the matching headstock has yellowed a bit more than the body, but it's very clear the body is olympic white. You can see it in the pictures.
Please, no trades, but I won't get all angry if you offer a trade.
GC was selling it for nearly 4K! Get it for $1850 Paypal'd + shipping. Located in Los Angeles. EDIT Let's make it $1799 + shipping, instead...
Ok, $1750 + Shipping!
