Decided to sell my Rickenbacker 4003 NOIR. It is factory fresh unplayed condition. Rickenbacker made 25 of the NOIR basses in 2016 and rumor has it that they made an addition 5 NOIR basses some time later.
This unique Rickenbacker 4003 Noir Electric Bass is a twist on the famous 4003 bass with its ringing sustain, treble punch, and solid underlying bottom end. It's also famous for its distinctive and elegantly curved body shape, stereo output, neck-thru-body construction, double truss rods, and high output single-coil pickups with wide response range and brilliant clarity. The Vintage Tone Selector activates a capacitor in the treble pickup circuit to emphasize the high end. Pressed in, you get the familiar 4003 sound, pull it out to add bite and crispness.
Unique to this model is a Matte Black finish, unfinished Macassar Ebony fretboard, double dot inlays, black checkered binding, black hardware, and laser engraved nameplate.
Includes standard Rickenbacker hard shell case.
In the interest of full disclosure, there are 2 very slight imperfections to the finish:
I would prefer a Southern California pickup for this bass, but will ship if it comes to that. Buyer pays shipping.
$3500 USD.

In the interest of full disclosure, there are 2 very slight imperfections to the finish:
- On the headstock there is a very small white dot. You can see it in the pic just above and to the right of the A string tuning peg.
- On the body sort of near the bridge there is a very small rough spot. You can't see it, but you can feel it when you run your hand over the area.
