Can you give me a little more explanation on the controls? As I understand it, there is each volume control, stacked bass/treble and an active tone control? Is that correct? Can you explain how they work together?

The controls are: volume neck, volume bridge, bass\treble stack and active tone. The emg active tone is a low pass filter. Basically a treble roll off like a passive bass but a cleaner buffered signal. The controls work very nicely giving you all kinds of great tones.
