Details

I've decided to put my Bongo 5 up for sale. It's got the HS pickup configuration and also is equipped with Piezo bridge. You can definitely get a wide array of tones out of this bass. It's practically ding free, except for one ding on the horn (see pictures). The bass also features:
  • 18mm spring spacing
  • 18v 4 band preamp
  • Ash body (bass weighs 9.0lbs)
  • Rosewood board
  • Schaller tuners
I'm asking $1250 shipped CONUS. The Bongo will be shipped in the orginial hardshell case. PayPal is accepted. Thanks for looking!

Not at the moment...I'm trying to thin out the collection a little bit.

Opinionated blowhard. But not mad about it.

Interested. Can you possibly either explain or provide a diagram of how the controls work? Thanks.

Sure thing...

The first tone control is master volume, and it's the only one that's not stacked.

Stack #1: Upper knob - neck pickup balance
Lower knob - bridge pickup balance

Stack #2: Upper knob - hi mids (boost/cut)
Lower knob - lo mids (boost/cut)

Stack #3: Upper knob - treble (boost/cut)
Lower knob - bass (boost/cut)

I have the 5 string HH/p version. The piezo really opens up the tone as long as you dont over do it.

The top knob of the stack knob closest to the master volume controls blend from the single to the Piezo and the bottom controls the Humbucker to piezo?
Got it.
