This is a G&L L1500 in in 3 tone sunburst. The body is in amazing condition. The wood grain is clear and striking and the finish excellent. The electronics are great and this bass has a meaty tone that is quite pleasing. The bass was originally a fretless, as can be seen in the neck pocket pic. I swapped necks and put a different G&L (L2000) fretless neck into it without ghost lines. The three-bolt neck swapped perfectly and I think it is an improvement. The ebony fretboard plays smooth and fast. It has a bit fingerboard wear, like you'd expect of an older fretless, but the tone and playability are great and that's the only thing to note about the bass. It comes with an original G&L hard case. $775 Shipped I'm really looking to sell, but I'm a sucker for G&L's if there is a trade out there. The newer neck has an E stamped in it. I think that is the older profile listing system. It seems to be the same as the original neck. It is 1 3/4" at the nut.

Hi,
Actually, I used it in my fretless G&L L2000. I prefer the looks and mystery of the pure ebony, but it turns out I need the ghost lines.
Thanks,
Brad

Nice looking fretless. Are you sure that it's 1-3/4" at the nut and not 1-1/2"? Specs page for the L-1500 lists the latter, though I realize this is a different neck.

Thanks in advance for clarifying.
